As happens on most flights, the guys wait for all passengers to take their seats, and then the shifting began...Denilson is asked to swith with a couple that had separate seats...Ricardinho, wanting to sit next to Denilson, asks Abe to switch...Blake scouted the scene before realizing he had to keep his seat...Drew moves over to let a non-working flight attendant take the aisle...and so on...
A little over two hours into the flight, the pilot comes on the PA to inform us that we're 80 miles from Miami, and should be landing in 15 minutes...within minutes, we hit an air pocket / cloud / something - and the plane suddendly shook all over...it was one of those 'bumps' where you feel that if you grab the seat in front or lean one way or the other, the plane would straighten out - it didn't work. A couple more violent shakes and the plane settles...we look over and see Ricardinho, eyes closed and hands together near his mouth - he looks over and smiles, clearly the scare was over - and the laughs started at how everyone reacted.
The landing was fine...everyone is off the plane expect Ricardinho, who is looking all around his seat for something - his IPhone...the flight crew start lifting seats up (where he first sat down), we were on the ground looking under seats, etc, etc...finally giving up, hoping no one took it and that maybe it had slid somewhere else, we walk out of the plane with Ricardinho, listening to him whisper under his breath things we really can't repeat - but that we laughed at as he said them in all every language he knows, or kind of knows...
We come out of the jetway, and Denilson, Bobby, Josh, and others are waiting for Ricardinho, who quickly tells them what happened to his IPhone...they quietly listened, and before he realized why they were so quiet - they all start laughing. Blake had his phone!
Two hours later, as we wait in a crowded D36, we hear the announcement that the flight is now out of gate C5 - the caravan moves...we're boarding the plane...
