While today was an off-day for the guys here in Frisco, three FCD players suited up for the U.S. U-20 team in the Campos Verde International Tournament in Beja, Portugal.On Tuesday, April 15, the U.S. lost to the Cape Verde U-20's 3-1, with the lone U.S. goal coming from FCD's Brek Shea (left). FCD teammates Anthony Wallace, the U.S. captain, andIbee Ibrahim joined Brek in playing 90 minutes.
Today, Brek wore the captain's armband for the U.S. in a 3-0 win over Northern Ireland. Wallace and Ibrahim did not play today.
The U.S. will finish up the round-robin tournament against hosts Portugal on Friday, April 18.

brek shea should be in the starting lineup! replace serioux with him! serioux has looked very weak in defense all year even though he did deliver a nice pass to Cooper this past week.

If Shea will replace anyone it will be Wagner. Serioux, Davino and Moor are starting to work well together on the backline.
taking Serioux out for Brek is stupidity. Serioux is much more mature and a great player.

If I had to guess, Cape Verde would be small and green.
Yeah, I'm done hating on Serioux, although I prefer him at defensive mid. That guy has a bunch of specific skills that we would miss if we didn't have him.
I too would prefer Serioux in the midfield, but since we have a ton of defensive middies, it only makes sense to put him at defense so no one else on our roster really can play that. I think Brek should get a chance to play where Wagner plays as well, perhaps later this season we'll see him there. Other teams play their rookies, so i think we should too.

Tap the breaks on these guys. These are children playing other children from other countries. MLS is a Men's league and the two levels don't correlate at all. If any of these guys could contribute Steve would play them but he's isn't.
Jozy has seemed to been able to play with the "men", if the kids can play, play them
Brek will see quality minutes this season and don't be suprised when he gets a few starts.
Ibee and Wallace will see some minutes too.
I agree with you anonymous, Yahoo Serioux has been strong to quite strong so far this season.
serioux is very good. Wagner has to go...time for shea
I think Breks best position is left foward. He's so effective in that position.
