As we get ready for Thursday's game, some of the guys have been requested for a few interviews...as likely happens to many teams, we have a few players that are requested often and / or repeatedly. When we can, we try to spread the players around - first, to get more of them exposure, thus fans can hear / see more players; and second, so we don't have to have one player doing all the interviews.
Here's what we mean...
* Dax talked with ESPN.com about the Olympic Draw...
* This morning, Duilio was on ESPN Deportes Radio's national morning show "Raza Deportiva"
* Steve Morrow had an interview with ABC Sports Radio this morning (UPDATE, cancelled at last minute)...he'll also be talking to The Oregonian newspaper who's doing a story on Ray Burse.. .
* Kenny and Drew will be on the Southwest Kia Sportstalk show tonight (KFWD-52, 6:30 pm and 11:30 replay)...
* Dario will 'chatting' on the ESPN Deportes site today at 2 pm CT (he tells us he'll take questions in English, if they allow them)...
* Arturo answered question's for Sports Illustrated's "Pop Culture Grid" (next week's edition)...
* Adrian will be doing an interview for a Canadian magazine today...
* ESPN2 will be taping player intros following today's practice - we'll do the entire team.
And, our own FCD TV talked to Marcelo, Blake, and Abe ahead of tomorrow's game below...

You belong out there, Blake. Take it to 'em!
Wow - that is quite a list of media toughpoints - GREAT job. Doyou guys have this much going on most of the time? I would love to hear about these kind of things, especially ahead of time so that I can support the effort.
You should make it a weekly feature on the blog. Media, player appearances planned for the week.
Hey - did you notice that the FtW paper now has an on-line Soccer section?
I ran Dario's chat through babelfish, and he sounds like he really enjoys playing for FCD. From what I read it looked like he isn't extending his contract, and would like to play the last 6 months of his career in his home country. Can a spanish speaker please back this up?
so glad to hear about our coverage... hope it continues & grows -- especially coverage in local TV news sports segments.
love the billboards that are up around town & heard a promo on the radio yesterday.
can't wait for tonight's game!
GO HOOPS!
Basically what Sala said is that he's on the last year of his contract and he'd love to finish it by FCD winning a championship.
A fan from an old team of his in Argentina said they miss him very much and wanted to know when he was coming back. He said the team holds a particular place in his heart and he always thinks about spending the last six months of his career, just before he retires, playing for this club again.
He also said training with Saviola, Angel and Aimar at River helped him, just like training with Cooper and Toja helps him improve his game at FCD.
So much for Babelfish!
Sala said nothing about signing again with FCD. He said when he retires -- which for a goalkeeper could be six years from now -- has has thought about returning to his old club and playing for six months. The fan who asked the question was from Los Andes. He was the team MVP the year the club ascended to the primera division and recently the fans voted him the starting gk and mvp on their all-century team. He was showing affection and respect for a little club where he is a legend.
Google is your friend. Bablefish isn't.
Did anybody watch the interview last night with Drew and Kenny. They looked very stiff. They both seem like nice guys but I thought they would have more personality and that did not come through.
