It took a long time, in fact, a couple years of back and forth discussions between local government entities and us to finally approve this, but the tollway marquee is finally up.
The entire piece is 51 feet tall from the ground to the top of the arc...the graphics LED board is 24 feet wide by 20 feet tall. It's located about halfway up the PHP complex, in front of the soon to be completed hotel, adjacent to the service road which boarders the Tollway, and in site of our offices - which helps since we'll be controlling the graphics from here.
A few months ago, when the tollway opened past Pizza Hut Park, the NTTA estimated the number of vehicles passing to be at 80,000 per day. We're thinking that has grown by now...
We're expecting all the pieces to be in place over the next couple days, and then begin testing the graphics by the weekend if not early next week. If all stays on course, it should be functioning by the May 18 game.

(a la Mr. Burns) Excellent... now the masses of people driving past the stadium will get their daily dose of FC Dallas advertising via a lighted board. Keep up the good work, front office.
Any chance we could get one of these near LBJ and the Tollway... talk about cars per day seeing that sign!
sweeet!
That rocks! It's a good looking sign, and it will be a great landmark for people trying to find PHP for the first time, since the stadium itself is starting to be harder to see behind all of the new construction along the tollway. Way to be patient and persistent in getting it done! Congrats!
Hello. Excellent! I love it!
saw it last saturday and had no idea you were doing this. Its pretty sweet
Saw it last week and thought it was something for the hotel. This should get peoples attention.
Glad you kept with it to get this done. Since the stadium is starting to be hard to see you have to realize it's time to add the upper deck and roof. They will see it then.
Unrelated, but it's transfer gossip season kicking into high gear in the UK: this hot off the gossip column from the BBC's Match of the Day site (third paragaph). Not used to seeing our fearless leader's name on there but thought you'd like to see it. Probably typical lazy journo bow-lox, but you never know!
