Interesting that the U-23's have decided not to use players that are important to their respective teams. Managers don't consider youth tournaments important and the Youth Nats don't want to ask too often for the big time players. It is an opportunity for a try-out for those called and you don't get many of those so good luck boys.
It'll be great for Wagner to gain some more confidence and big game experience.
Brek and Blake - well done boys!
Enjoy the trip and play well!
Dax - hurry back and heal completely!
i maybe wrong but guys correct me... why if Shea is being recognized by other coaches in this country while his own coach does not?. this kid has talent and gifted to be intimidating on the field with his size. if he got picked during drafts as our # 1 why he does not hit the field why he does not get minutes??? i know he is a young player and maybe many may say he needs to mature, but will he mature if we do not make him comfortable in his own house?(fcd). we need to give him time on the field to mature we got to make him comfortable and get him used to it . look at chivas usa they got that kid Braun from the streets excuse my expression but the kid is playing and started every game for them and has already delivered the best of his talents. look at Manssali and Nyassi from New england these guys from nowhere never heard of young and under rated but delivering the best of themselves. why to pick a player in draft and bench him? expose the guy to what he is going to do for rest of his 20 years. believe it or not he is going to feel deprived and will opt sooner or later to leave as we have seen some talents departed for the European Union opportunities and i do not blame these guys for doing so. as the case of Jaqua,Goodson,Ngwenya,Adu,can't forget the E johnson saga when he pledged to die in MLS and when 5m$ was presented to the table he changed his mind... we need to learn how to grow talents in this league we need to learn how to keep good players in MLS than been supliers of epl, and la liga mexicana, without mentioning other big leagues where we keep on supplying...
Brek will getting playing time as the season progresses. He hasn't beat out the people in front of him yet, but the potential is there and if he works hard, he will see the field more and more.
