Today was busy, but we're not complaining...among the things that kept us busy were: Duilio taping a commercial for Univision...
Marcelo and his wife and son in a photo shoot for a local youth sports magazine...Kenny on the ESPN.com chat...setting up Juan for an ESPN Deportes interview...Schellas taping a phone interview with GolTV...plenty of email / phone exchanges with ESPN ahead of the Thursday game...a photo shoot with a local newspaper photographer at Brek and Lambo's apartment...our own video interviews to shoot (we'll post on Wednesday)...media at practice...and, well, more stuff that kept us busy...
Not much to share from practice today - media was asking about Cooper, about Ricardinho, about Houston, about formations, etc..we'll see what they report back, but we'll also post some of the comments here on Wednesday (couldn't get to them today).
One note to share is that Schellas wants Ray Burse to stay...Ray will join Portland on Friday for two upcoming game this weekend (at Carolina and at Atlanta), then come back to Dallas to remain with us moving forward...

Tonight we'll know who we play in the U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, July 1...Atlanta plays at Miami - if Miami wins, we host them...if Atlanta wins, we travel to Atlanta next Tuesday. Click here to track all Open Cup games...

So....we did everything at practice except actually practice. That's good, since we're top of the table and don't need to work on anything.
"The media was asking about Ricardino"? Is his return to CAP immanent as I suggested in an earlier post? Or, are they inquiring about his switch from yellow to orange boots?
Your coach wants Ray Burse to stay? Why not say the real truth. We have't been happy with him and gave him his walking papers. Hopefully he can make it in the MLS because it wasn't working out in the USL.
That less than 1 GAA Burse has for Portland in 11 games sure is awful...shutouts in more than half of his games.
Too bad Burse's GAA is 2.0 with FCD, in the MLS this year. Pretty rough when a USL team wants to send you back.
How do you know they wanted to send him back?
Did Portland call and ask for you to post that info on the fc dallas blog?
nice to know that practices have picked up in intensity. that's what should've been happening, but i guess morrow prefers the calm approach...like gaining confidence playing college teams during preseason. i hope schellas learns from this mistake.
