Dax not going???? Bad for them; GOOD for FCD!

UGH, I'm crushed for Dax. He deserved a spot on that team. We watched every qualifying game that was televised and he definitely proved himself.
:(

So as an alternate does he accompany them or does he fly over if needed? If he's not part of the official squad, I'll be totally greedy and say GOOD FOR US. We need him here!

Their loss, Dax. We <3 you.

Dax got jobbed on this one.

Feilhaber didn't do anything worth going over Dax aside from stinking up the EPL. There must be a ton of politics over these appointments because the best man didn't go.

Now on to the All-Star team assignments, a spin free zone...

Perhaps the fact that Dax hasn't played a full 90 since returning from the qualifying had something to do with the decision.

Now there should be no excuse not to insert Dax into the first 11 and let him take his rightful place as a key member of this team.

Go Dax, Go Hoops

I feel for Dax. It was just crummy timing on the sports hernia - as he even mentioned in the Dallas Morning News today. Sad part is he helped get the team there and I have no doubt he will be in top form by the time the Olympics take place. BUT I am so happy he will be here playing for us.

dax deserves it more than anyone! he is soooo good. :D

okay, walking away now because I'm still so p-o'ed. He deserved that spot.

My daughter is already making signs for him for Saturday :)

Benny Feilhaber?

your kidding me right?

Is Dax not playing because he is still not over his injury ?

@Steve Toro

Of course no one in the FO is addressing the Toja thing. Even his wikipedia page has been updated and shows Steaua Bucharest as his current club lol.
(yes, I know, anyone can update those pages, but...)

I just wish we could get an official confirmation or denial once and for all.

Man, after the Dax snub today if it turns out to be true my mood will go from surly to WATCH OUT.

@cm: yeah, i remember that denilson (er, he who must not be named)'s wiki page said that he was going to the melbourne victory right before we signed him...

these things *always* fall apart, right? i mean, ronaldinho was rumored to go to city before he ended up at ac milan. eto'o isn't really going to uzbekistan, right?

I'll continue to update on the Romanian press over at Los-Toros.com.

Man, I'd be really disappointed if we lose both Toja and Cooper this season.

@stevetoro

Thank you, I will watch for updates
I'm doing some investigating myself too...

again @stevetoro

I just found a Romanian news site that says it is official :/ Guess we'll have to wait and see; it's not on Steaua's site yet.

Well this group looks like they will be home pretty quick. Given the opponents and obvious squad weakness' they should be back to their teams after the first week. Talk about bad roster selections and then the joke that are the overage guys...well they will be home very quickly.

SBI just confirmed that Toja was named to the All-Star team, which means that if the trade is true this could be one of MLS's biggest blunders this year.

Yeah, the anticipatory commiserating's going on over at Los-Toros.com. I hated to threadjack this thread, but this was potentially sadder news than the fact that Dax will be with us all summer.

if you don't know los-toros, we're the small supporters group with the BIG banner who sits over on the east sidelines. if you like our blog, you'll love sitting with us... we try to have fun and help spread the fcd gospel on our side of the hut.

Thanks for the invite! I'll definitely mosey on over to los-toros. As for games, our seasons are in 108 and my youngest would NEVER sit anywhere else. She likes to be near the bench lol. (and she makes sure to talk to Dax every game...obviously he's our favorite player :p)

But we've seen the banner! And we'll wave on Saturday ;)

I think Dax is still nursing an injury which is why he has not been playing and why he should not have gone to Germany to get operated on.
If it is true that we are losing Toja - and all indications from Los-Toros is that it is true, then please explain to me how in the world the FO can say they are truly committed building a winning team ?

Michael Hitchcock is only committed to fattening his wallet and his backside.

Buzz reports that JT's going nowhere.

Whew! Silly Romanians, no Toja for you!

Two facts that you can not overlook: 1.) Dax is coming off an injury and has not played a full game since the surgery...this makes him alternate material. 2.) Toja has played 1-1/2 seasons for us of which one was stellar and two have been less than mediocre.
