Big win today. It's the second shutout win in as many games, which moves FCD into third place in the Western Conference. Schellas Hyndman gets his first road victory in MLS. FCD hands Toronto FC its first home loss of the season.
Kenny scored twice to give him 13 on the year, a new career high, which ties him for the league lead. Dario Sala picks up his 6th shutout of the season, also a new career high. He is now second in Dallas history with 17 career shutouts, moving one ahead of Mark Dodd.

Bring home 3 points!
This is it, we're about to start our run to the top of the table
lets go boys kick some @$$.
go hoops go cooper dallas till i die
COME ON YOU HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPS
Pardon my idiocy, but when the site says the game will be shown on "DK", what does that mean? I am in a TV market where it is hard to get a lot of the stations, and I do not have MLSlive.
DK means Direct Kick. It's a subscription package on cable and satellite (similar to NFL Sunday Ticket).
OK, I like this line up
what happened to saragosa? he's out after 7 min?
Congrats Drew on the captain's armband!
DAMN IT!
You guys did do much better swinging the ball out wide against LA. Why are we trying to shove the ball down the middle again? Spread the field damn!
No one is making runs. I think I have seen like 3 or 4 4 on 1s.
Um on another note it is just down right cruel to keep running commercials with the Toja in them :)
three points will put us in 3rd ahead of LA. Good job sj cant belive alverez scored. what a jerk.
come on you hoops get the win.
Dallas till i die.
whoa, bruno in the game...
I'm still trying to process what all just happened.
Gotta say I'm happy though....
CCCCOOOOOOOOPPPPPEEEERRRRR!!!!!
Dude's a stud. That's all I'm saying.
right about now would be the time to give cooper DP money
great win hoops. Glad your still here Cooper, Hey front office Pay the man he is worth it. Cooper leading goal scorer in the mls and we would sell him. Pay the man make him our DP. Good effort by everyone. Congrats to mr SH, way to get our boys playing like a team. I was very happy with what i saw from our boys
Go hoops, were back in the playoff hunt.
Dallas till i die
ps see what happens when saragosa does not play
That's a shame what happened to Saragossa and Richetti.
Very good game for Coop but, I was kind of annoyed when Oduro made that beautiful run and passed it to Coop and all he had to do was pass it back to Oduro, instead Coop held onto the ball.... that would have been a beautiful goal.
Other than that I felt everyone played well. I like the way Avi fought for the ball and Dello-Russo was good.
I hope the boys can keep up the good work and hopefully FCD can finally win the MLS Cup!
GO HOOPS!!!
Ditto on Saragosa.
Yeah! We do have a team! What a lousy place to play in. Rude, obnoxious fans.
congrats to our guys on a sa-weet road win. nothing like breaking TFC's wins at home streak!
solid game by ricchetti, avila, pitch & serioux today.
long-live the 4-man back!
down with the buckeyes!
Pretty good play today, passing at times wasn't quite as sharp as last week, but I think the turf had something to do with it. Way to go grabbing 3 points on the road!
The game could've gone either way until Guevara got the red. After that, things really started to snowball for TFC.
We were already kicking butt- don't get me wrong- but the snowballing definitely helped.
And holy crap! Two games in a row for Kenny Cooper with multiple goals! If he is playing like a DP, pay him accordingly!
GO HOOPS!
Ricchetti is such a hard working player and did not deserve a busted nose!! Toronto deserved to get beat in their stadium with all the dirty playing going on. Cooper way to stand up for the team and keep composure with Toronto's foul playing. Adrian also kept great composure and strong playing with all the BOOs from the stands. Way to go hoops, excellent game!!!
"Socal Avi fan" here....nice job guys. You soooo deserve to be ahead of my Galaxy, they sure stunk up the field in San Jose! Someone who watched the game, tell me how Avi is actually doing. All I see is he's started 2 games and FCD has won both.....! Also stupid question? When talking about Cooper and paying him more, what does DP mean? Thanks
great game cooper!!
socal fan, avi played really well, fought for the ball, played aggressive. i think he will be a good replacment for our beloved toja. DP is a designated player. Meaning we can pay him more without breaking the salary cap.
to bad your a LA fan. Maybe you should jump ship and support the hoops just a thought.
Dallas till i die
Difference the past two games is that Avila is a TRUE attacking midfielder...Toja wa fun to watch, but defied description in terms of what position he should really be in.
Great game by Pitch...quiet and unheralded as a good defender should be.
Avi is awesome!!!!!

because tfc plays a game where playing in the middle works for us. I know this because I have the internet and can read other sites that are dedicated to fcd.
I'm surprised that no one has complained about the number Schellas's boy was wearing.
Like uni numbers really matter.....
yeah i think that was in poor taste but what does it really madder
Roach-
The game was awesome. But my only point with bringing the ball out wide is it give the team more options. You swing the ball out wide it opens the field up for Coop and the Birdman to do their thing. Abes goal against the Galaxy was a prime example. The field was spread and the goal came from it.
Great game, great team effort. So glad we moved up in the standings!!
I agree show cooper the money. Without him, there would be no offense and you can't win without it. He deserves it!!!!!!!!!!
I liked the look of the back four today. Pitch was very Snacks like. I expected to see a let down in intensity after last week, I am glad I was wrong. SH must be on heck of a motivator.
I think the guys are more relaxed, yet focused at the same time. They seem to be having more fun under SH.
Carlos
"Like uni numbers really matter....."
of course they do. it is a symbol of a person that is identifiable as their name. 23, 14, 16, 3, 8, 88, etc. are all numbers that anyone reading this blog can recall or come up with someone that has had any of those numbers on their shirt, jersey, etc. I still remember the first time in little league receiving my first jersey. right away I associated it with another sports hero of mine. so yes, uni numbers are important - maybe not to you but they are to me.
You're ready to retire a number after one and half seasons?? Move on.
"SH must be one heck of a motivator" is something I would have to agree with. I would also say the players are responding to what seems like an honourable person of his word, unlike the two-faced backstabber they used to play for.
nobody said anythong about retiring it. but I did think that Toja's number was already reassigned before he was formally transferred.

I understand the idea of the wing, but tfc is so weak down the middle that I think we were just exploiting that.
I was very happy with pablo's play in the middle.
I think next week we'll have wing play and middle clicking, just wish we could test it against Houston ;)

GOOOOOOOOOOOOO FC DALLAS! WALKIN IN DALLAS WONDERLAND!!!! WAY TO GO KENNY!!!!!
Where are all those Hyndman naysayers who couldn't believe FCD went with a college coach now?
It is just 2 wins. I'll eat my words about SH after the season, I hope!
it looks like the bus is heading in the right direction. for sure after making a brief stop and debarked Arti, and maybe Ricardi, and the driver SH must have warned a few passengers to fasten belts because they may be next for the next stop.Sometimes threatening players is a good strategy that what Gulit used when took over LA and they did better this season compare to last year.
Roach-
Its cool man. From the little that I got to watch in the first half it looked like it was a bunch of long ball crap that drives me nuts.
Its just surprising that SH hasnt pushed the wings more. I didnt follow him at SMU but from what I have read he like to play on the wings....Dont know but as long as they keep winning Ill take it :)
WTG Hoops and WTG SuperCooper!!
really good game pablo!!!!
No Toja, No Saragosa (well almost no Saragosa), no Alvarez, No Davino, No Problem. I think they have found there swagger back, hopefully they won't lose it.
After the last couple games, here is what i'm impressed with:
1) the defense: playing in a more logical 4 man backline
2) Avila: his intensity, work ethic, and speed bring out an exciting attack
3) Winning: i like winning
Isabel mentioned Adrian and I would like to second that. I've been pretty critical of him in the past but he was absolutely outstanding yesterday. And he did it in his hometown. I hope he had lots of friends and family there.
And I don't think we'll see much play on the wings until we get real wingers. We don't have anyone now. Rocha, Dax, Dello-Russo and other have done a pretty good job filling in but they're not the permanent answers. Although I was very impressed with Dello-Russo yesterday; maybe that will work. By the way, Ray, please learn to pronounce his name before the next broadcast.
Time to give some credit for some wins here. Two and a row and suddenly everyone is looking up at us, finally. Coop leading the league in goals w/ Landon isn't too shabby. Looks like it was a good move keeping him around, he deserves to be paid. GO FCD! I thought the Toronto fans were a bit unlucky with the red card/pk but sometimes thats the way the ball rolls.
So right after I said we have no wingers, I see this that says we may have a winger:

Hey - I am not ready to say that SH was a good hire just yet. We have all been screaming to get Avi involved in these games, and there was in the last 2 and I believe that he made a huge impact. I also think that Davino is a has been and he was not in there. We have talented players they just need to PLAY - so by that token I would give "Skeeter" as much credit for these last 2 wins as I would SH.
We need to give Cooper DP status and keep him here. Lets see if Hitch really cares about building a winner. If they lose Cooper then Hitch must go too.
I think that guy from SMU was a complete BUST in the game BTW
The red card for Guevara was perhaps a little harsh but I don't think they we're unlucky at all. Toronto got by my count three extremely questionable calls that bailed them out of a precarious situation from which we could have had a scoring chance. If Toronto supporters want to contest the bias of the referees, fine, but Guevara shouldn't elbow people in the face in the penalty area and Velez shouldn't mouth off to the referee when he's already got a yellow card. It's their own faults they got sent off.

Moron.
I am very proud of the Hoops. They came out with purpose and determination. Also, hats off to the defense. SH has instilled something in the back line (be it 3 or 4 persons). They held their lines and covered their marks fairly well all game long. Dario played well along with the D so, for me, there was little doubt about a shut out.
I agree with the post that said the team plays relaxed but determined soccer. Very good combination to have. The rest of this season is going to be a battle and the Hoops are starting their time to peak. I hope they keep building on these last 2 games so they can head into the playoffs at full steam.
GO HOOPS!!!
