When we started the blog in January 2007, we didn't spend much time polling people to see what we should name this new platform. We literally went with what we intended the blog to be - FC Dallas Updates.
Since then, we've found that the name most commonly used when referencing the team blog is - The FCD Blog. So, we'll accept it as the new name. Now, please help us decide which banner to use.

i like the second one personally

2!
I vote for the second
I afraid to vote. I don't want to get called in for Jury Duty.

I like the second one......
Any of them are fine....just rotate around the three, or even add new ones.
#2 or 3 is fine with me. I would like to see the pitch like that more often though.
If I had to vote for one of these I'd say #3.
Although I think I better picture for the right side of the banner would be one of the guys lined up during pre-game introductions or the pre-game picture.
That'd be cool, but out of the three, I like #2.
2 for sure
I think the idea of rotating them is just fine too...
I vote for #2.
Number 2.
i think everything should be kept the same...
#2 is cool... Love that view of the pitch and the lower seating...

I say #2. The picture gives a good perspective of the game from the goal. With the keeper visible, it makes the one viewing it feel that he/she is seeing the play develop as the keeper would.
Thanks for the opportunity to have a say. Keep up the good work.
I like all three. So I say use all three on a rotating basis.

OK, I have an idea. How about we have a contest. Let the bloggers use their creativity to design and submit a banner and the winner gets a prize such as a 4-ticket package to a game. You can use the winning banner as the sole banner or rotate it with the others that the blog staff came up with. Either way, it's a great way to get us fans involved.
Oooh yea! Prizes! Like some of the other official blogs. Awesome. I love the idea of prizes -- even if they don't choose to make the contest about the blog header.
It can't be the 2nd or 3rd because the pitch never looks like that so I'll go with the 1st one.
3 or 2
The pitch did look like that at the beginning of the season even with the same circular pattern. I would guess these are actual pictures of PHP from the beginning of this season.
first, thanks for opening this up to the fans for a vote.
i love the idea of letting bloggers submit their own designs
BTW: bring back the banner contest and this time, post the images on here & let the fans vote for their favorite.
other than that, i vote for #2
doesnt matter what it is i will still write on here no matter what
I hope when you update the blog you also make people log in. I'm sick and tired of anonymous posters writing whatever they want just trying to create a problem. Like every other internet forum, make people take responsibility for what they write.
No doubt #2.

#2 is the best, but could you use all of them to change it up periodicallly?
#2. You guys should make those field photos into desktop backgrounds for me to download.
number three

1st one
All three are good - like #2 best as you can tell from the pitch and goalpost that it is soccer related.
#1
The green next to the red is jarring.
second
#2 is my favorite, but I also like #1
Not a fan of #3 unless it's in rotation with the others.

how do you keep us anonymous people from voting more than once?
#2. That is the view from entering the South gate - where most fans coming from Dallas would probably be entering from if they parked just south of the stadium.
#2
why not all 3? put in a javascript to randomize the image on the page load so you get a different one when you refresh. everyone is happy.
I vote for #2, from an FC Dallas fan since 1996.
Jared S. from San Antonio, TX
I personally like the 2nd the best, but the idea of rotatiing them sounds good as well.

I like #1 the best.
i like the other one
#2 is my choice.
The first one is a good idea but the end product just doesn't look as good as #2. I think it's that you have the FCD badge on both ends of the banner.
2
I vote for #1. But I like the idea of a blogger created logo.
#2 - clean sharp look.
#1 - the kits change just about yearly so it would be out of date soon.
What about putting the red and white stripes behind the name of the blog? Just a thought....
The "behind the goal" view is my favorite.

I like the third one.
