As most fans who follow FCD closely know, a lot has happened since the team’s last home game about a month ago. Among those, a new field has been installed and Saturday night’s game against the Columbus Crew will be the first on the new grass. Mother Nature has done her job, as we’re told that the weather lately has been absolutely perfect and the roots have already settled in.Out on the adidas Field this morning, everyone went through full training except for Duilio Davino (left toe), Marcelo Saragosa (right groin) and of course Victor Sikora with the torn meniscus in his right knee. Andre Rocha was also out for what Schellas called “internal reasons.” Duilio and Marcelo instead worked on the sidelines with the training staff.
Yesterday we told you that Victor will be out at least 4-6 weeks, but there’s a chance it could be longer based on the surgery, which is scheduled for Wednesday morning. We’ll check back in tomorrow to let you know how it goes.
UPDATED (5 pm): We forgot to mention that on Wednesday at 10 am, we'll be playing the Houston Dynamo in a reserve match that was originally scheduled for earlier in the year.

I have a question... And Im waiting for answers...
Why Schellas keep taking Rocha out and Guarda in? Guarda isnt a right side player, they are both brazilians and I think they would be way better together! Also... Is that substitution bookmarked? Cuz seams like it doesnt matter if Rocha be the man of the game or not Schellas will that him out to put Guarda!
What's wrong about them playing together?
I have an answer to the question.
Read www.3rddegree.net
Guarda sucks! He needs to play in a few reserve games so he can gain more experience and then if he earns his spot put him in a game. I believe Dello-Russo should get more playing time.
As for Rocha we all know that he is probably on suspension for not sitting on the bench when he was subbed, this si the second time he has done this....
Mr. Anon,
Please regard the post by fc zippy and read 3rd degree. It includes an interview with Schellas about this matter and will more than likely clear up your questions.
I have a question... And Im waiting for answers...
How much loose change is typically found after a concert at PHP?
Guarda is Schellas' "SON" dont forget it... He is more worred about guarda becoming famous then being the #1 team... Guarda is a good player but has no experience! It doesnt make sence to sub a 23 old player who leades our assists and has played 21 games and is way more experience then a 21 years old player who has only college games... No assis nothing...
Schellas play as a couch not guardas dad!
Not to defend Guarda, but he has been playing with PDL side DFW Tornadoes for the past couple of years. No, not equal to MLS by far but better than college ball.
I too am having a hard time understanding why he is getting playing time in, what I deem, crucial games. He looked completely out of his depth in Toronto. he got stuck in pretty well vs KC though. he must either be having some really good practice sessions or, like somebody else said, he is "SH's boy".
Buzz has not indicated much about his practice abilities. And I trust Buzz alot for his keen insight. for those that do not know, buzz is www.3rddegree.net
Awfully critical of a coach who has lost 1 of his last 7 league games eh?
How many of those seven games have we won? 2 (I'm assuming you are only including MLS games since we lost to Charleston Battery and CD Guadalajara in that time! 2-1-4 isn't exactly what I would call a great record.
its not a terrible record though. I don't like taking Rocha out either, but give the coach a chance. Let him really screw up before nailing him to the wall.
Are you smoking crack !
Schellas is lost. He is in the big leagues now and has gotten lost. We will be critical of him until he finds his way.
Great question about why is screwing Rocha - even a better question is why is he screwing Oduro ?
This team is on the way to ruin,
i guess the censors dont like criticism of guarda and SH.
REAL CUTE!
i didnt say one thing unacceptable. i made a critical comment about the coach's decision to pull the player leading in assists and discussed the impact of putting in a player who hasnt earned it in guarda over other young players who have earned it by putting their time in the reserves and working their butt off in practice.
GONE! Deleted !!!
Not only in Beijing, China, but also at World Cup Way in Frisco, TX where Censorship so prevalent as well. It's their blog, and they get to write the rules. My post was not vulgar, nor provocative in any way nor critical of the efforts of FCD; however, it was removed by the blog administrator. The Blog admn. needs to develop thicker skin if he/she expects FCD to garner the attention that a major team sport craves.
I have a question... And Im waiting for answers...
How come the neighbors in Frisco never complain about the noise when the Hoops are playing? Oh yea, because there isn't any!
For those of you complaining about your post being deleted (censored) it's probably because you, in your infinite wisdom, decided to lace it with profanity and not because you were critical. People on here are crtical all the time, but their posts stay on. Refrain from using the vulgar words for what comes out your rear and your post might remain.
field looks good
"words for what comes out your rear and your post might remain"
That's the answer, insult your readers.
Amateurs.
I would like to see yesterday's interview and see what schellas said about Rocha, Dax and Oduro!
Come on Dude... We all want to see that video of him blaming every single player and saying that Guarda did really well..
GO BACK TO SMU MR. ""Schellas Guarda""!!
