At 9 a.m. this morning, instead of heading out to the practice field as usual, the team met briefly in the player’s lounge to break down some game tape. By 9:15 a.m. the guys were out on the field for training, where the team spent lots of time in 11 v 11 situations.Marcelo Saragosa, coming back from the right groin injury, worked with the full team today as he did yesterday. Training ended around 11 a.m. with the last 15 minutes spent in a 3 v 2 drill with emphasis on attacking in numbers to punish the defense and finish on goal.

thanks for the coverage.
Did Rocha practice today?
Rocha practiced for about 60 minutes, then went to the locker room.
he's just getting ready for Saturday!
Well there's our problem...we only spent 15 minutes analyzing the game tapes. Imagine how bad Peyton Manning would suck if that's all the video he watched!
Go Rocha! He is Gooood!
Rocha is a great player, it's hard to fathom a strategy that would take him out of the game early.
And Guarda? Really?
if SH keeps subbing Rocha out for Guarda at 60min mark, then we know what to expect next season. no season tix for me next year to watch that again.
^^^^
I am so sick of reading stupid posts from people like you who threaten to cancel their season seats anytime something does not match up with their opinions. Disgusting.
I am also concerned that we are not watching enough film. Every other American sport spends good amounts of time to watching film and FCD should follow suit. Is that just the difference between Football and Football American? Someone help me out.
I am still amazed at how much playing time Bruno is getting. SH even said that he isn't game fit yet and is still getting used to the speed of the MLS game. Why is he getting game fit in a league game and why is he getting used to the speed of the game at the expense of 10 other players (on the field - and almost all of the other guys that have paid their dues over time to adjust to the league but don't get in because of his time) as well as the whole organization as we try to make a stretch run for the playoffs. The players on the team actually feel this way too but SH doesn't get the message.

whatever. if I wanted to watch SMU soccer I would go there and pay much less.
I don't like the Guarda substitutions, either. But seriously, you're going to abandon the team because of one sub you don't like? Would you really like to go back to the Morrow era?
Actualy, I kind of understand what SH is saying. Rocha is a nice player, and his passing is excellent. But the coach wants him getting forward into the attack more. He's been playing midfield all year and has only one goal to show for it. If my winger wasn't getting forward, I'd sub him, too (although not with Guarda).
What is stupid about not renewing your season tickets - if you do not like the product why buy it ?
I have had season tickets for a while and I don't think I am going to renew mine.
I don't like the product, I don't agree with the direction the team is going. I don't like the way season ticket holders are treated. I don't like the fact that I pay for parking and I could park for free and walk a shorter distance.
So, I am right there with you - Why should I spend my money on a train wreck ?
Dear Anon # 8 -
Why are you paying for parking? All parking at PHP, except for Gold and Platinum, has been FREE all year.
Don't like the way STH are treated?
Have you spoken with or written to the front office with specifics of what you do not like? (Not to your ticket rep, to Customer Service, or management)
Don't like the product on the field? Tell someone (not us) what it is you don't like.
Why buy ST? To support the growth of the sport of soccer, to support the team so that one day you can say "I was there through thick and thin". Heck, you could just buy tkts and donate them to charity. It is obvious you care about the team as you are spending time to post on these boards!
Chaz,
Love your post. There seems to be at least a couple of types of people that follow this club (and post). I'm in the group that just wants soccer to grow and thrive in the U.S. You can probably tell by my screen name that I was an NASL supporter many years ago and it tore me apart when the league folded. I feel so fortunate now to have the MLS and I don't want to lose it.
I may not like everything that the club or league does, but I want them to be successful and I'm going to support them.
Hey Chaz,
Thanks for your reply. Let me expand. First I have 8 season tickets and I have had them since before PHP opened. I also have parking - Gold - because when I bought it, the Gold Lot was a reasonable distance away - closer and easier than crossing the street. My 8 tickets allow me club access also.
I don't need 8 tickets. I have 3 kids, all that play soccer, so if they want to each bring a friend, with my wife, we can all go. I rarely use all 8 and usually have 2 or 3 that either go unused or I give them away, I have given them to the Boys and Girls Club, I have given them to Frisco Family Services, and I have given to them my landscaper.
When I bought the Gold parking I could park on the Gold lot and it was easy stroll to the north gate. Well now they filled the Gold Lot with all of the vendor sponsored tents. Those tents stand between the new Gold Lot and the stadium. In essence they have sold the Gold Lot twice. Once to me and once to a vendor. It suddenly made the Gold Parking a terrible deal.
I am a soccer fan. I have traveled to see FCD play on the road, I make it to England at least once a year to sit in the stands there and sing and drink and participate in what is - in my opinion - one of the greatest sporting experiences there is.
I am Dallas Cowboys STH, and I have a partial Ticket package to the Mavs.
FCD has changed in my opinion. I believe that the hiring of SH had more to do with a personal relationship between a former player and his coach than building a winning team. I believe the coach has completed his long college career without a single national championship has made bad moves on the field, and prompted the FO to make bad moves. I believe we have an old coach that is looking for his old players to play. I believe there are some VERY, VERY talented players on this team. I believe that the front office runs this club like Peyton Place - and it is a popularity contest to see who plays. I don't believe it has anything to do with talent.
So - I am not happy with the product.
I run a business, and I can recognize a failing business when I see one. When you see a business trying to sell their top dollar product that is a clue -
They sold Toja, and they entertained offers for Cooper.
Something is wrong with this club.
They have lost their focus. The front office has lost their focus.
Sorry this long,

Dear Anon # 8
Thank you so much for sharing some detail. We (the lovers of the beautiful game and fans of FCD) can not afford to lose someone like yourself.
You have the right to be frustrated and disenchanted, and you also have the right to use your standing as an investor in this club to possibly effect change by sharing your concerns with the team management.
I encourage you to speak with upper management. My experience has been that they are always willing to seriously listen to concerns from the fan base. And they try to act on the feedback received.
Go FCD!
P.S. - STH since 1996 - what a journey it has been.
must be nice to be able to afford season tickets to three professional sports teams.....
