Feeling the Heat

The team’s first practice since their 1-1 draw with the Colorado Rapids was a brief one thanks to temperatures that were pushing 100 degrees.

After warming up, the official portion of practice consisted of about 45 minutes worth of conditioning including a closing 20 minute jog around the complex. Following the jog, several players stuck around to play a mini-scrimmage which saw the team of Andre Rocha, Anthony Wallace, Jeff Cunningham, Bruno Guarda, and assistant coach Marco Ferruzzi come out victorious.

For the first time in what seems like forever, the team was nearly at full-strength with almost everyone participating in at least a portion of the practice. The lone exceptions were Alvaro Sanchez (ankle) and Peri Marosevic who is still with the U.S. U-20 national team.

It's good to hear that almost everyone is healthy. Let's just see if we can stay that way.

I didn't see Saragosa or David

my 12 year old practices two hours three times a week in this heat. I'm sure these guys can condition a little better to withstand this for more that 45 minutes.

A couple more wins by FCD and you are going to run out of toes to count on..

How long before MLS/Hunt's pull the plug on Dallas and move to a market that will support to team? 5K-8K per match is very poor given the new franchises are in 15-30K range.
At the end of the day this is a business.

you know, if they put the stadium near Traders Villiage, they would have done better. Easier for everyone to get to, and lots of exposure to hispanic community that supports soccer. I'm sorry, but Frisco is just too damn far for 80% of the DFW area.

I live in Frisco - I say let them move. The idiots moved out here but there target marketing is to the hispanics that don't live out here. If that was who there target audience is that is great - but why in the world would you move the team so far away from where the target audience lives. If they did a better job of marketing to the people out here and the kids out in this area they might draw larger crowds from the immediate area. I get an email that gets caught in my spam filter every couple of weeks. The Ticket was good - but there has been nothing since that.
